Here’s a synopsis of what’s to come: “Florida, 2000: With his Hollywood prospects on the upswing, Dwayne makes good on a long-standing promise to his family. As the Johnsons reflect on how far they’ve come, Dwayne can’t help wondering if there’s something bigger for him on the horizon.”
Season 3 of Young Rock was solid enough.
Pros: This season was a huge improvement showing a lot of Rock’s journey to superstardom, Which was promised in the trailers. I liked the moments seeing how Dwayne struggled, worked and getting extra support from his loved ones and peers. Becky Lynch surprised me with her delivery as Cyndi Lauper and my favourite episode was episode 12 where all the family were paying respects for Peter Maivia.
Cons: The rock running for president angle was so unnecessary to continue with. Randall Park felt bland and not that engaging to see and a lot of the acting and line delivery felt wooden, unengaging and still dull.
This new season was not that bad but also not that good.
