Wednesday Season 2 Review by Ryan Balkwill

Plot: In the second season, Wednesday returns to Nevermore and, while developing her psychic abilities, must face a new tormentor and prevent her roommate’s death. In addition, Pugsley enrolls at Nevermore as Weems’ successor Barry Dort wants Morticia to take on a fundraising role while he looks after his own interests.

Season 2 of Wednesday was Good

Part 1

Pros: I like where people look up to Wednesday Adams. I’m glad the rest of the Addams family had a lot more to add this time around. The new students surprised me a lot including Agnes DeMille. Each episode being a hour long gave us time to believe soaking what happened. Mystery is being intriguing to follow. I’m impressed to see characters from the previous season and the last episode lead us into part 2 in huge possibilities.

Cons: Her brother can get too cartoonish for me.  A lot of the outcomes were quite predictable to me. I hate the white for a mouth for the second half.

Part 2:

Pros: Part 2 did felt like a surprising declaration to all that set up from part 1. The episode spends time Wednesday and Enid swap bodies was my favourite. A lot of blood and gore was sprinkled. I’m surprised how they used Slump, Thing & Tyler within the main plot. Agnes was my highlight character, and it’s twists & turns impressed me of how they were pull off.

Cons: With what happened to Enid was sad to see. Steve Buscemi’s Barry Dort felt more like a second-tier villain instead of the main one. A lot of the whiting felt lazy at times. There were ton of fake out deaths. The finale was good but not that great & splitting this season in half was a mistake.
