Vice TV’s Dark Side Of The 90s Season 2 Review by Ryan Balkwill

Genre: Documentary

Developed by Insight Productions, Railsplitter Pictures

Directed by Richard Rotter

Narrated by Mark McGrath

Composer: Orin Isaacs

Executive producers:

Producers: Vanessa Hill, Matthew Ginsburg, Tim Healy

Production companies:  Railsplitter Pictures/Insight Productions

Distributor: Vice on TV

Plot: A look at the most captivating pop-culture moments, trends, and personalities of the decade through interviews with people who studied the period.

I was waiting for a another string of episodes from Dark Side of the 90s.

Season 2 of The Dark Side of the 90s was mediocre.

Pros: It started strong with the first 5 episodes when they focused on topics like “Arseniooo Hall!”, “MTV & The Real World”, “Cops TV”, AND “The Origin of UFC”. I ENJOYED learning about how the UFC began from the people who were there at the beginning. Everything kept the same from last season.

Cons: My only criticism was about all the other episodes in the rest of the season and some very graphic themed footage throughout these episodes.

I recommend watching all these episodes from season 1 and 2 on Youtube or on the dailymotion wedsite.

Rating: 5 out of 10 Stars
