Vice TV’s Dark side of the 2000s Season 1 Review by Ryan Balkwill

Genre: Documentary

Developed by Insight Productions Railsplitter Pictures

Narrated by Mark McGrath

Distributor: Vice on TV

Plot: From outrageous shock jocks and record breaking reality TV, to the rise of celebrity gossip and the downward spiral of a child star, these untold tales of the new millennium all have a dark side.

Season 1 of Dark Side Of 2000s was fine.

Pros: I was glad seeing this spin-off tackle the decade I thick about fondly. Each episode was well put together editing wise and produce. Mostly I feel a lot of sad, fascinating and joyful memories looking back at this period and my favourite episode was involved TMZ and the celebrity-gossip machine.

Cons: The episodes involving Lindsay Lohan & Chalie Sheen did felt like paint-by-numbers comments you’ll heard of before and the series itself could’ve shown more over-the top moments throughout.

Rating: 6 out of 10 Stars
