The Studio (TV series) Season 1 Review by Ryan Balkwill

Plot: Matt Remick is the newly appointed head of Continental Studios; desperate for celebrity approval, he and his executive team at the movie studio must juggle corporate demands with creative ambitions as they try to keep movies alive and relevant.

Season 1 of The Studio was quite good.

Pros: I like how this series was so good of satire of modern Hollywood and makes fun of it. It’s direction, cinematography, humour and satire was so hilarious. I’m amazed this show gave us performances from Martin Scorsese & Ron Howard. Seth Rogen worked really well as the lead caught between art & corporatization and the writing is sharp and witty all the way through.

Cons: At times the humour can be suggested to yelling and annoying language. I of the other guest stars haven’t impressed me that much & I’m a little mixed of the finale.
