Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV DocuSeries Review by Ryan Balkwill

Plot:  A docu-series that uncovers the toxic culture behind some of the most iconic children’s shows of the late 1990s and early 2000s.

This docuseries was Head scratching and emotional.

Pros: I like how it highlight the discussion on the treatment of kids in entertainment and mental health. I was pleasantly surprised to see all this old Nickelodeon footage. It doesn’t shy away from the subject matter it is showing & Dan Schneider is front and centre of this docuseries (since accused of engaging in unprofessional and inappropriate behaviors in the workplace).

Cons: I hated a lot of the horrendous, disgusting, and inappropriate stuff these people managed to get away associated with this documentary series. At times I got furious of what I was seeing. I don’t know What I feel about the jokes shown & the docuseries can get unsettling to sit through.
