Plot: Set more than a thousand years before the world of “The Witcher,” seven outcasts in the elf world unite in a quest against an unstoppable power.

Season 1 of The Peripheral was weird.

Pros: I like how they used virtual reality headsets in the show. The setting does remind me a bit like the matrix meets Westworld. I was engaged with what’s happening in the 2038 world more than the virtual world. The action was less but eventful and Chloe Grace Moretz was so good in the leading role.

Cons: All the episodes were stretched for too long & hard to understand on what is going on in the show. The other side-characters got under-whelming after they had been introduced. The baddies were wiped out easily and certain plotlines began to get convoluted and with no proper repercussions.
