PARAMOUNT+ ORIGINAL TV Series Presents Knuckles Review by Ryan Balkwill

Plot: Taking place between the events of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022) and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024), the series follows Knuckles the Echidna as he trains deputy sheriff Wade Whipple in the ways of the Echidna warrior.

The Knuckles series was Disappointing

.

Pros: This series did work with in the confines of being in the same universe as the Sonic The Hedgehog movies. I ended up liking Wade Whipple by the end. Idris Elba was still good as knuckles. I did laugh a few times and I’m glad to see bowling as part of a sub plot of this series & how good everything looks on screen.

Cons: Knuckles felt like a secondary character in his own series. I didn’t find the villains that threatening. This series didn’t work for me. Most of everything else came off like poor-quality. I didn’t like the rest of the characters.

Elba ad-libbed part of his dialogue during recording.
