The plot: When a colony on the edge of the galaxy finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius, they dispatch a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighbouring planets to help them take a stand.
This Child of Fire Movie was mixed bag.
Pros: I didn’t mind the slow motion in this movie. Ed Skrein’s Atticus Noble does come off very goofy at times. The only character I was invested in was Sofia Boutella’s Kora/Arthelais and I don’t think this movie deserves all the hate it has been getting.
Cons: I couldn’t get engaged with the plot of this movie. It feels like a rip-off of Star Wars. The effects look like a low-level b-movie. I didn’t get like the main characters that much and this movie focused too much on world-building instead of telling a story.
