This Mean Girls Remade was not that good.
Pros: I liked the songs because they were full of energy and excitement. Auli’i Cravalho did really well being a manipulator to cady. This film left us feeling quite happy after leaving the cinema. I appreciate this film taking its premise and using as a musical & That new actress Reneé Rapp did a good job as Regina George.
This one shan’t disrespect the original that much.
Cons: This version of Aaron Samuels was quite boring. The comedy in most parts was the weak point of the film. It skipped through a lot straight into another musical number and Angourie Rice was miscast as the lead in my opinion.
Cast & Characters:
- Angourie Rice as Cady Heron, a teenage girl who transfers to North Shore High School after being homeschooled her whole life in Kenya
- Reneé Rapp as Regina George, a rich and popular mean girl who is the leader of The Plastics
- Auliʻi Cravalho as Janis ‘Imi’ike, Cady and Damian’s friend
- Jaquel Spivey as Damian Hubbard, Janis’s best friend
- Avantika as Karen Shetty, a member of the Plastics

Additionally, Jon Hamm plays Coach Carr, the school’s physical education teacher, while Ashley Park appears as Madame Park, the school French teacher. Mahi Alam plays Kevin Ganatra, the Mathletes president, Connor Ratliff portrays Mr. Rapp, the school literature teacher, and Brian Altemus portrays Shane Oman, a football player.
Lindsay Lohan, who played Cady Heron in the 2004 film, makes a cameo as the moderator of the mathematics competition. Megan Thee Stallion appears as herself during the social media montages in the film.
I still recommend watching this film to teenage girls.
