In Memory of Kevin Conroy (Batman) (1955-2022) Written by Ryan Balkwill

Dear. Kevin, Thank You for giving me all the memories as Batman for all of these years.

He was best known as the voice behind the DC Comics superhero Batman in various media, beginning on the 1990s Warner Bros. television series Batman: The Animated Series as well as other TV series, Video Games and feature films in the DC Animated Universe

My best memories of Kevin Conroy of him voicing Batman in both Batman: The Animated Series, The Arkham Games and in all the DCAU Movies & rejecting his Autograph at a comic con one time, Which was the biggest miss opportunity of my life.

Conroy was gay. As part of DC Comics’ 2022 Pride anthology, Conroy wrote “Finding Batman”, a story that recounted his life and experiences as a gay man. It received critical acclaim upon release. He was married to Vaughn C. Williams at the time of his death.

Conroy died from cancer on November 10, 2022, less than 3 weeks before his 67th birthday.

Thank you Kevin for the memories.

You will be my favourite batman voice to me.

And my beginning of imitating his voice at times.
