House of the Dragons Season 2 Review By Ryan Balkwill

Premise: Following King Aegon II’s coronation and the death of Queen Rhaenyra’s sonHouse Targaryen is divided in two. In King’s Landing, Aegon II rules from the Iron Throne, supported by Alicent and the Green Council, under the protection of the largest dragon in Westeros. From exile on Dragonstone, Queen Rhaenyra and her Black Council consider their next move. Civil war looms as both sides seek support from the great houses of Westeros, ultimately amassing armies — and dragons.

Season 2 of House of the Dragons was a mix-bag.

Pros: I enjoyed the tension when it’s focus on the civil war between each kingdoms. A highlight are the dragons because of how intimidating they can be. Each time I feel the drama does get more intensity in each episode. The acting is really good and also every episode does feel like a big blockbuster movie from its production designs, its special effects and how long each episode was.

Cons: Too Many plot points don’t go anywhere and come off underwhelming. Dialogue scenes don’t make any sense. Each episode did feel drag on and most of it is like setup for the next season.
