The plot: A comedic retelling of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet,” told from the point of view of Romeo’s jilted ex, Rosaline, the woman Romeo first claims to love before he falls for Juliet.
The Rosaline Movie was Alright.
Pros: Rosaline is like a tale of two different films smash together with perfect balance. This was a interesting new spin on Romeo and Juliet. I like seeing Kaitlyn Dever in the lead role. There were moments that I can’t stop laughing and I like most of the supporting characters.
Cons: The romance between Rosaline and Dario felt forgetful. The final act at times can get too dramatic. I didn’t get through most of what’s going on in the film at times.
