I was looking forward to see this show when it comes to Disney Plus.
Season 1 of Marvel’s Hit-Monkey was awesome.
Pros: This show does feel similar too archer. “My God” they showed a lot of blood in this show. I was surprised how much they made the main monkey sympathetic. The voice cast were Fun and settling this show in Tokyo Japan does add a lot to this show.
Cons: Many clichés from other super hero films & other shows manage to make its way into this series & it didn’t do a lot of stuff with Silver Samurai. (Spoiler Alert)
Casts & Crew:
Main:
- Ally Maki as Haruka, a good honest cop who wants to fight the injustice in Tokyo.
- Olivia Munn as Akiko Yokohama, the smart and ambitious niece of Shinji and the second Lady Bullseye.
- Nobi Nakanishi as Ito, Haruka’s partner who has problems, but trusts Hit-Monkey.
- Fred Tatasciore as Hit-Monkey, a Japanese macaque.
- George Takei as Shinji Yokohama, a kind politician with a lot on his shoulders.
- Jason Sudeikis as Bryce Fowler (né McHenry), Hit-Monkey’s mentor who dies and comes back to aid him as a ghost.
Guest:
- Reiko Aylesworth as Maki Matsumoto / Lady Bullseye, a terrifying assassin who kills without remorse or hesitation.
- Aylesworth also voices Yuki, a spirit tied to Japan who sees Hit-Monkey as a true warrior.
- Noshir Dalal as Fat Cobra, a large sumo assassin who can produce lightning from his feet.
- Dalal also voices Kenuichio Harada / Silver Samurai, Japan’s biggest hero who is also very conceited.
I highly recommend watching this series only on Disney+ to those you loves anything from Marvel.
