Plot: Adrift in a big, confusing world and armed with nothing but a bit of hope and a lot of desperation, Jen begins her journey to find her maybe-superpower; in doing so, she might discover the joy of being just kind of ok.

Season 1 of Extraordinary was Okay.

Pros: I like how much this series was filmed in East London. Some of the jokes were funny at times. This series felt like the x-men mixing a coming-of-age story with the main girl Jen trying to find her place in a town full of superpower beings and my favorite character who gave me the best laughs out of me the most was Carrie betrayed by Sofia Oxenham.

Cons: Sometimes the comedy does change different styles instead of sticking with one. At times Jen does get unlikeable through most of the series but learned her lesson and I did struggle to keep up with what’s happening in the series at times.

Casts & characters:

Main:

  • Máiréad Tyers as Jen
  • Sofia Oxenham as Carrie
  • Bilal Hasna as Kash
  • Luke Rollason as Jizzlord

Supporting:

I recommend watching this series only on Disney plus.

Rating: 7 out of 10 Stars
