The plot: A skilled Comanche warrior protects her tribe from a highly evolved alien predator that hunts humans for sport, fighting against wilderness, dangerous colonisers and this mysterious creature to keep her people safe.

I was looking forward to this movie.

The New Prey Movie was awesome.

Pros: I like they don’t show that much of the Predator but his presence was felt.  I was impressed how they retold The Predator’s Origin set in a different period of time. The practical effects used to re-create The Predator were amazing.  Amber Midthunder was a really good antagonist protecting her tribe and you will feel intensity and concern throughout the film. Also there’s a lot blood and violence that were promised.

Cons: The head helmet look fake and the hunters in the 3rd act didn’t make that much of an impression.

The Casts:

  • Amber Midthunder as Naru, a young Comanche warrior who protects her tribe against a Predator.
  • Dakota Beavers as Taabe, Naru’s brother and a skilled hunter.
  • Dane DiLiegro as the Predator. This individual is shown to wield primitive versions of the advanced weaponry used by Predators in previous films.
  • Stormee Kipp as Wasape, a Comanche hunter that looks down on Naru
  • Michelle Thrush as Aruka, Naru and Taabe’s mother
  • Julian Black Antelope as Chief Kehetu
  • Bennett Taylor as Rafael Adolini, a translator

I recommend watching this film on Disney+.

Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
