Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F Movie Review by Ryan Balkwill

Plot: After his daughter’s life is threatened, wisecracking Detective Axel Foley teams up with a new partner and some old pals to turn up the heat on a conspiracy.

Axel F was such a blast.

Pros: Eddie Murphy was fun as the main character. Watching this one made me feel glad I see this as a standalone. I enjoy the pairing of Axel (Eddie Murphy) and Bobby (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) together. I like the blend of the original cast mix with some new ones. It’s captured the re-creation of 8os feel quite well. The wisecracking humour / Comedy does work in certain areas and I also like Axel’s daughter Jane in the movie as well.

Cons: The execution of the storyline were way predictable to predict & The henchmen and the main villain didn’t feel threatening enough.
