The plot:  Recently widowed Dr. Nate Daniels and his two teenage daughters travel to a South African game reserve managed by Martin Battles, an old family friend and wildlife biologist. However, what begins as a journey of healing soon turns into a fearsome fight for survival when a lion, a survivor of bloodthirsty poachers, begins stalking them.

The Beast Movie was Descent.

Pros: This film was the one occasion that you been sold on a film by a simple poster. Idris Elba was believable as the main character. The lion looks realistic, and ferocious & I like how this film got straight to the point at the beginning.

Cons: The fight between the two was disappointedly done in 2 minutes. The daughters were terrible in their decisions making and the film had bad camera shots.

Cast & Characters:

  • Idris Elba as Dr. Nate Samuels, a widowed husband
  • Iyana Halley as Meredith “Mae” Samuels, the elder daughter of Nate, who is rebellious and argumentative
  • Leah Sava Jeffries as Norah Samuels, the younger daughter of Nate, who is more sensitive
  • Sharlto Copley as Martin Battles, a wildlife biologist who is Nate’s old friend.

I recommend giving this film a chance hoping people might like this film more than I do.

Rating: 3 out of 5 Stars
