Anaconda (2025) Movie Review by Ryan Balkwill

The plot: Best friends Griff and Doug have always dreamed of remaking their all-time favorite movie “Anaconda.” When a midlife crisis pushes them to finally go for it, they assemble a crew and head deep into the jungles of the Amazon to start filming. However, life soon imitates art when a gigantic anaconda with a thirst for blood starts hunting them down.

This film was hilarious & scary.

Pros: I like the first act better because it’s just guys making a movie in a movie. I did laugh a few times throughout the film. On how metaled ridiculous it takes itself not that serious & I kind of like the Ice Cube & Jennifer Lopez’s cameo appearances.

Cons: Ana & Carlos were wasted as characters. At times it felt like two different movies to me. There wasn’t that much of a plot & it ending did get underwhelming.
