Apple TV+’s Palm Royale Miniseries Review by Ryan Balkwill

Premise: Set in 1969, outsider Maxine Dellacorte-Simmons (Kristen Wiig) strives to attain a place in the high society of Palm Beach, Florida through the town’s most exclusive country club, in the process learning what she will and won’t do to achieve this.

The Palm Royale Miniseries was very good.

Pros: Every piece of work that goes into this series is so glamorous. I like how this series depicted high society socialites with the time period this series is set in. I like the balanced of drama & comedy in this series. The main stand-out characters are Kristen Wiig’s Maxine and Allison Janney’s Evelyn & I find the finale quite explosive.

Cons: Each episode did drag for too long at times. I didn’t like most of the other characters that much except from Laura Dern’s Linda & Leslie Bibb & it didn’t end with a proper conclusion.
