Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom Movie Review by Ryan Balkwill

The plot: After failing to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta wields the power of the mythic Black Trident to unleash an ancient and malevolent force. Hoping to end his reign of terror, Aquaman forges an unlikely alliance with his brother, Orm, the former king of Atlantis. Setting aside their differences, they join forces to protect their kingdom and save the world from irreversible destruction.

Aquaman and the lost kingdom movie was descent.

Pros: I Loved the sibling rivalry between Arthur & Orm when they were together. Atlantis looks much better like in the first movie. Black Manta was menacing and scary and I was impressed with Randall Park’s performance in the movie as well.

Cons: This sequel didn’t succeed my expectation (Sadly not as good as the first film). Amber Heard did like she found it in this time around as Mera. I didn’t like any of the jokes and this sequel felt like “Let’s get this over with” and the movie dropped many missed opportunities.

The Casts:

Also appearing are Vincent Regan as Atlan, the first king of Atlantis; Jani Zhao as Stingray; Indya Moore as Karshon; and Pilou Asbæk as Kordax, Atlan’s brother who was the creator of the cursed Black Trident and the undead king of the lost kingdom Necrus whose evil spirit possesses Black Manta. John Rhys-Davies returns from the first film as the voice of the Brine King.

I still recommend watching this sequel to those who watch the first one.

Rating: 1 out of 5 Stars
