The plot: In the summer of 2014, a World War II veteran sneaks out of his care home to attend the 70th anniversary commemoration of the D-Day landings in Normandy.
The Great Escaper was excellent.
Pros: This was one of Michael Caine best performance in a long time. The film was funny. I liked how they portrayed the care home system in this film and it shows the importance of keep on going when things gets bad.
Cons: The only thing that I wish it could have done more of was showing more flashbacks when they were younger.
