The plot: A mild-mannered suburban mum unexpectedly inherits her late grandfather’s mafia empire in Italy. Guided by the firm’s trusted consigliere, she hilariously defies everyone’s expectations as she finds herself stuck in the middle of a deadly mob war.

The Mafla Mamma Movie was a let down.

Pros: I enjoyed the pair of Toni Collette & Monica Bellucci together and also, I give thumbs up to Toni Collette doing her best with the confines of this film.

Cons: The film didn’t capitalize on its unique premise in my opinion. The humour wasn’t that funny. Story was predictable and not that surprising.

The Casts:

  • Toni Collette as Kristin
  • Monica Bellucci as Bianca
  • Sophia Nomvete as Jenny
  • Eduardo Scarpetta as Fabrizio
  • Alfonso Perugini as Dante
  • Francesco Mastroianni as Aldo
  • Giulio Corso as Rudy a.k.a. “Lorenzo”
  • Dora Romano as Maria a.k.a. “Aunt Esmeralda”
  • Giuseppe Zeno as Carlo Romano
  • Vincenzo Pirrotta as “Mammone” Romano
  • Tommy Rodger as Domenick
  • Alessandro Cremona as Bruno
  • Alessandro Bressanello as Don Giuseppe Balbano

I worse skip this film.
