The plot: Henk Rogers discovers Tetris in 1988, and then risks everything by travelling to the Soviet Union, where he joins forces with inventor Alexey Pajitnov to bring the game to the masses.
The Tetris movie was Very Good.
Pros: I do like how certain things were explained through a 8-bit looking graphics. Taron Egerton was sensational as the main lead. Being fast paced helped my enjoyment of the film and it shows how ruthless the Russians were and what lengths they would go to, to get the rights as possible.
Cons: Throughout the story it does get ridiculous at times. A lot of the Russian dialogue was very difficult to understand and at times things do get a bit repetitive.
The Casts:
- Taron Egerton as Henk Rogers
- Toby Jones as Robert Stein
- Nikita Yefremov as Alexey Pajitnov
- Roger Allam as Robert Maxwell
- Anthony Boyle as Kevin Maxwell
- Togo Igawa as Hiroshi Yamauchi
- Ken Yamamura as Minoru Arakawa
- Ben Miles as Howard Lincoln
- AyaneNagabuchi as Akemi Rogers
- Matthew Marsh as Mikhail Gorbachev
- Rick Yune as Larry
- Oleg Stefan as Nikolai Belikov
I highly recommend watching this movie only on Apple TV+.
