The plot: In the not too distant future, two drifters (Zac Efron, Anthony Hayes) traveling through the desert stumble across the biggest gold nugget ever found, and the dream of immense wealth and greed takes hold. They hatch a plan to excavate their bounty with one man leaving to secure the necessary tools. The other man remains and must endure harsh desert elements, ravenous wild dogs, and mysterious intruders, while battling the sinking suspicion that he has been abandoned to his own fate.
That gold movie was surprisingly good.
Pros: I was surprised Zae Efron gave a great performance. You will be blown away by your experience with this film. This was very apocalyptic in tone and realism. The cinema cinematography of this film was incredible and it works not even noting that no one is coming out of this film unscathed.
Cons: At times the film does get jury and uncomfortable. Virgil’s friend was suck a douche and It didn’t got back to the plotline with the hidden gold.
Cast & Characters:
- Zac Efron as Virgil (credited as “man one”)
- Anthony Hayes as Keith (credited as “man two”)
- Susie Porter as the Stranger and the Stranger’s sister
- Andreas Sobik as an outpost attendant
- Hayden Fein as man three
I recommend watching this film only on Prime Video.
