The plot: Nurse Amy Loughren is shocked when Charlie Cullen, one of her colleagues, is foound responsible for the murder of dozens of patients over a period of sixteen years, across two states and nine hospitals, without being charged.

The Good Nurse was Very Good.

Pros: The Music helped make this film both moody and intense. Well Done Eddie Redmayne for doing your best performance along side with Jessica Chastain. I do like how much this subject matter was taking seriously and the opening shot of this film helped set-up the mood for the viewer.

Cons: There were a few skips in-between scenes and some people might find this quite boring to watch.

Cast & Characters:

  • Jessica Chastain as Amy Loughren, a single mother and nurse at Parkfield Memorial Hospital, who is also cardiomyopathy patient.
  • Eddie Redmayne as Charles Cullen, an experienced nurse who is new to Parkfield’s medical staff, and secretly a prolific serial killer.
  • Nnamdi Asomugha as Danny Baldwin, a state police detective assigned to investigate the case of mysterious deaths at Parkfield.
  • Noah Emmerich as Tim Braun, another state police detective and Baldwin’s partner, also assigned to investigate to the Parkfield case.
  • Kim Dickens as Linda Garran, Parkfield’s risk manager and former nurse, who seeks to preserve Parkfield’s reputation in the wake of the deaths.
  • Malik Yoba as Sam Johnson, the local police chief and superior officer to Braun and Baldwin.

I highly recommend watching this film to anyone on Netflix.
