Plot: The Great Season 2 was another delightful, raunchy romp through history (or almost-history). The season dealt with the aftermath of Catherine’s (Elle Fanning) successful coup and her struggle to be accepted as Empress. Meanwhile, Peter (Nicholas Hoult) is discovering who he is if he’s not God’s chosen ruler of Russia
I was so excited to see season 2.
Season 2 of The Great was Fine.
Pros: The designs for all the Costumes, Props & Sets were so well put together. The story carried on from the first season, Catherine gets more time to develop as a strong character this time. Nicholas Hoult is still having a ball playing Peter III including having some character growth and the humor stays the same.
Cons: The rest of the supportive cast was not that memorable in my opinion, and me and my mum I both felt let down by the ending, which seems to be left for a possible season 3.
