Synopsis: School’s back in session under the militant authority of Alfea’s former Headmistress Rosalind. With the Burned Ones gone, Dowling ‘disappeared’ and Silva imprisoned for treason, the Alfea of last year has grown up with new magic, new romances, and new faces. But when fairies start to go missing in the night, Bloom and her suitemates discover a dangerous threat lurking in the shadows. One they’ll have to stop before it wreaks havoc on the entire Otherworld.
I was waiting to see this new season of this live-action Winx Saga program.
Season 2 of this show was alright.
Pros: This season was a major improvement from last time. Over the course of this season, the friendship between the girls grew well. The fight choreography had improved, and Bloom became someone to feel sympathy for, as this season progressed. I also enjoyed the mature content ie: bloodshed, violence, and adult themes.
Cons: I had trouble keeping up with what’s going on at times and found it difficult to understand. And the final episode was pretty predictable of the outcome of the finale.
Casts & characters:
- Abigail Cowen as Bloom Peters
- Danny Griffin as Sky

- Elisha Applebaum as Musa
- Freddie Thorp as Riven
- Precious Mustapha as Aisha
- Eliot Salt as Terra Harvey
- Sadie Soverall as Beatrix

- Paulina Chávez as Flora, an Earth fairy like her cousin Terra, having an easy-going nature but hiding a dark secret.

I still recommend watching the first season before seeing this one and both are available on Netflix.
