The plot: In the 1970s, young Gru tries to join a group of supervillains called the Vicious 6 after they oust their leader — the legendary fighter Wild Knuckles. When the interview turns disastrous, Gru and his Minions go on the run with the Vicious 6 hot on their tails. Luckily, he finds an unlikely source for guidance — Wild Knuckles himself — and soon discovers that even bad guys need a little help from their friends.

This Minions 2 movie was Okay.

Pros: I like the friendship between Gru and each Minions. I was surprised how Dr. Nefario was before the first film. The animation style looked so similar from the other movies and I ended up enjoying myself.

Cons: At times it did rush through by the ending and I wish it was a little bit longer and the vicious 6 were underdeveloped.

The Voice Casts:

  • Steve Carell as Gru, a rising supervillain and the boss of the Minions
  • Pierre Coffin as Kevin, Stuart, Bob, Otto, and the rest of the Minions
  • Taraji P. Henson as Belle Bottom, the newly-appointed leader of the Vicious 6
  • Michelle Yeoh as Master Chow, an acupuncturist and Kung Fu fighter who helps the Minions on their quest
  • RZA as a biker Otto befriends on his way to San Francisco
  • Jean-Claude Van Damme as Jean-Clawed, a member of the Vicious 6 with a giant mechanical lobster claw for his right arm
  • Lucy Lawless as Nun-chuck, a member of the Vicious 6 who is a nun and wields nunchucks
  • Dolph Lundgren as Svengeance, a member of the Vicious 6 who is a roller skater

  • Russell Brand as Dr. Nefario, an absent-minded scientist who runs a record store
  • Julie Andrews as Marlena Gru, Gru’s mother

I recommend watching this film to those who saw the previous films.
