Plot: After defeating Paradox while restoring balance to the new multiverse, Barry Allen continues to thrive in Central City as the Flash. Aided by Team Flash, which includes superheroes such as Cisco Ramon/Vibe, Caitlin Snow/Frost, Chester P. Runk, Allegra Garcia, Harrison Nash Wells, and Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man, as well as friends and family such as CCPD Captain Joe West, Iris West-Allen, and returning CSI Julian Albert, the scarlet speedster has always felt that he has a home to go to. However, when a villain from his past resurfaces into something more dangerous as last time, Barry will have to train harder and learn new abilities he didn’t know were possible – especially when a new enemy vows to destroy everyone and everything closest to him.
Season 8 of The Flash was a mess but in some parts it was average.
Pros: You can’t describe this season of this show without giving credit to the Armageddon Crossover event last year. The problem I had with having too many characters last season has been balanced out with them having their own separate stories. It had some heartbreaking moments sprinkled in. The new speedster Meena was serviceable and they beefed up the special effects this time around.
Cons: The structure of the storylines was repetitive and made it difficult for me to care. It repeats plotlines from previous seasons without doing anything new with them, except for the last couple of episodes (Some Spoilers) & the dialogue can get over the top sometimes.
