Plot: In the season, the X-Men are scattered throughout time—from Ancient Egypt to the far future—and must find their way back to the 1990s to stop Apocalypse.
Season 2 of X-Men 97 was Really Good.
Pros: The animation is still crisp. I like how the X-Force & X-Factor teams were utilised. Certain episodes took advantage of blending different genres. A main & newest mutants stood out, such as Rogue, Jubilee, Polaris, Sunspot & Strong Guy. Apocalypse was handled better to he’s fully. They took their time in these episodes made their flow so well you get sucked into the drama. The action was great and well animated, & How it pulled the twists involving Kang, Apocalypse & Gambit.
Cons: Dr. Valerie Cooper didn’t get a payoff to her conflict with Charles. We have only 9 episodes instead of 10 episodes. How they sadly killed off Magneto. The ending did feel rushed & disappointing in its execution of on how it brought back Gambit & because of the runtime.
