The plot: After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove that he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns with a new partner, Knuckles, in search of a mystical emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.
I was looking forward to seeing this sequel after watching the first one before the Pandemic.
Sonic The Hedgehog 2 was really good.
Pros: This sequel still holds its own as a follow-up to the first one. I like seeing both Sonic & Tails on-screen together it was wonderful. Idris Elba was perfectly well cast as Knuckles and how his back-story connected to sonic from the first film. Many of the fights or confrontations involved everyone was a blast & I was laughing and clapping a lot in the cinema.
Cons: At times the humor comes over childish & there are few bits in the film that doesn’t need to be there.
I recommend watching this sequel to those who the first one to anyone who fans of sonic.
