Plot: The primary mission for Owen in Season 2 is to save the life of Nan Hee (Sanghee Lee), who was kidnapped by the Yakuza because she was working for an NGO with a marked cryptocurrency for her bribes to help repatriate Koreans. She’s the wife of Korean NIS (National Intelligence Service) agent Jang Kyun (Teo Yoo).
Season 2 of The Recruit was Good but not great.
Pros: I like how this season did felt more going on. Janus Ferber did add a lot more to do this time around. This season does able to follow Owen Hendricks glow confidence a lot and made new friends a long the way. Having so many different locations helped make this season feel more on a guan scope and I like the balance of comedy and seriousness throughout.
I just binge watched this in one day.
Cons: There’s so many plotlines I couldn’t keep up with. How the Korean government is so stupid for giving up finding them in the finale. A lot of familiar tropes and the ending did felt a bit short.
