The plot: A young Donald Trump, eager to make his name as the hungry second son of a wealthy family in 1970s New York, comes under the spell of cutthroat lawyer Roy Cohn. Cohn sees in Trump the perfect protege: someone with raw ambition, a hunger for success, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to win.
I was most looking forward to this movie.
This movie was really good.
Pros: Seeing how Donald Trump and Roy Cohn were the vocal point of this movie was the right move. This is a well done character study on the man also it say on capitalism, power & wealth. Sebastian Stan was well casted as a young Donald Trump. I like how the cinematography does helped make this film feel like set in the 70s and I glad it did take itself seriously.
Cons: There were once bits were skip forward. Maria Bakalova’s Ivana Trump didn’t had that much to add to the movie. I’m disappointed they didn’t focus much on Martin Donovan’s Fred Trump Sr that much and for people who hate trump don’t care about this movie don’t go to watch this one.
