The plot: Lily Bloom moves to Boston to chase her lifelong dream of opening her own business. A chance meeting with charming neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid soon sparks an intense connection, but as the two fall deeply in love, she begins to see sides of Ryle that remind her of her parents’ relationship. When Lily’s first love, Atlas Corrigan, suddenly reenters her life, her relationship with Ryle gets upended, leaving her with an impossible choice.
This movie was Quite good.
Pros: Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni had great chemistry together. I appreciate it didn’t make it too dramatic. It’s well edited and I was surprised how much I enjoyed the movie tonight.
Cons: The film didn’t keep still through most of it. Having subtitles did distract me from the film a bit. I was disappointed for Atlas didn’t get together with Lily at the end and it does fall into many romantic drama cliches.
