Supergirl Movie Review by Ryan Balkwill (Update)

The plot: When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Supergirl reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion for an interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.

I was anticipated this new DCU film for the majority of this year.

This film was pretty Good.

Pros: Milly Alcock was good as Supergirl showing she is opposite to superman. Her bonding with Ruthye was genuine & cute. Jason Momoa rocked as Lobo. I care emotionally for Kara & Ruthye’s Journey throughout. I enjoy the superman’s cameos. Pacing was very good. It largely follows to the source material, but it missed some elements & I like the changes to the ending.

Cons: The colour palette was too graded & eerie compared to the comic book. The plot was simple but became forgettable as it went along. Krem of the Yellow Hills was trash as the villain. Also, lobo was unnecessary to the main narrative. There’s were disappointment of not a lot of memorable action set pieces. & most of the film flew by quite fast to one scene to the next.
