Toy Story 5 Movie Review by Ryan Balkwill

The plot: Toy Story 5 is an animated adventure where Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie face their biggest adversary yet: modern technology. When 8-year-old Bonnie gets a new, frog-like tablet device called Lilypad that replaces her toys, the gang must unite to save her from screen addiction and prove that traditional playtime still matters.

I was so looking forward to this firth instalment.

This 5th Toy Story movie was spectacular.

Pros: I’m glad how they tackle Toys & technology in a shocking but moving way that works. Jesse took over the main lead from woody and gave her a lot of development. A lot of what they did with bonnie was very powerful through her struggles. They did mention the previous films namely number 2. The voice cast was So good as always. A lot of the emotional scenes did make me choke-up that I never had in a long white and how well the animation and visuals have got better throughout.

Cons: A few nit picks which are all the classic side characters were kind of left to the wayside & I didn’t care enough about the newest kids other than bonnie & blaze & woody did feel a little unnecessary to be included in the film.
