Plot: In the season, the Boys and Billy Butcher, who possesses a virus capable of killing all Supes in the world, join forces one last time to try to end Homelander‘s reign, who now threatens to become immortal with the discovery of the first version of Compound V, the V1.
Season 5 of The Boys was mediocre but disappointing.
Pros: It did sticked to landing for the stakes for this last season. I enjoy the exchangers between Soldier Boy and Homelander. There was a share of laughter & sense of danger throughout. I felt the acting was Very good for the less screentime than others did. Surprised cameos or guest stars that was surprising to see. A lot of the action were nailed effectively. Billy Butcher got his revenge and tragic farewell. I’m glad most of the boys each had there fitting conclusions to their arcs & a finale that mostly delivered.
Cons: Most of the seven of the Gen V cast was wasted & underutilise. A lot of deaths felt less shocking except from the last Three episodes. How it handled Compound V & V1 wasn’t utilise well. Every storyline & character end felt rushed because of time constraint. & Vought still stands tall as well not unsettling conclusion to this show.
