The plot: The Sword of Power leads Prince Adam back to Eternia, a world shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor. Joining forces with Teela and Man-At-Arms, Adam must embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe.
I was looking forward to this film.
This film was a ton of fun.
Pros: This film has gone full blast with how humorous the film gets. The look of Eternia is incredible from the locations to the creatures. Nicholas Galitzine was surprisingly good as Adam / He -Man. Adam & Duncan were the two I was engaged with their storylines. The pacing does remind me of Thor Ragnarök & Guardians of the Galaxy. Skeletor was hilarious and scary at times. It does embrace it’s ridiculous of this concept. The action scenes were so good and well executed & the soundtrack Rocks.
Cons: I didn’t gets most of the jokes at times. Alison Brie wasn’t that great as Evil-Lyn felt miscast after seeing her. & the was some missed opportunities with the transformation for Battle Cat & its failure to develop the side characters more of in the 2-hour runtime.
